As a victim of violent crime, I can tell you that I wish I would have known about this group years ago.I was shot twice and left for dead in my own home in Aug 11th 2005.I was in Ou med center for 5 months. The Oklahoma County District attorneys office treated me like crap. They (Sandra Elliott)added an alternative charge so the defendent could be found guilty of a lesser charge from shooting with intent to kill to Assault with a deadly weapon. After 5 years of 6 Ada's, and 2 Da's, I finally put my foot down and wore Prater out for allowing the trial to be delayed because of the defendants attorney Richard Anderson couldnt make it to court because of personal problems.I got the trial, the Shooter Walter Scott Quade was found guilty of Assault with a deadly weapon which Judge Jerry Bass reduced to assault with a dangerous weapon. A sentancing date was set and then moved up without my knowledge and I wasnt even able to address the court and Walter Scott Quade before sentancing. I have been treated like I do not matter to anyone.Quade comes up for parole next April. He will have served less than three years and is currently able to leave to got to Walmart.....I still have his bullet behind my heart left by his "dangerous" weapon and am awaiting a pacemaker. For what its worth Prater.Judge Bass.

Thanks for all of the support involved in my Dads (Bill Johnson) trial back in Nov. I am so proud of all those that have started this site to help bring justice to family/friends that have lost their lives due to ignorrance on behalf of Garvin Co. Good luck! EVERYONE NEEDS TO HELP PUT THE US BACK IN JUSTICE!!

I am the mother of Donovan Nimmo who was murdered in Blaine County, Watonga Oklahoma 1-20-2005. Justice as we call it was finally found for both murderers by mid November 2010. It should not take this long. Am so glad you did not give up in your quest for this law that was finally gotten. God Bless all that were and are part of getting it done. We still need to hope and pray and see that the OSBI and coroner's office do their jobs they are hired to do.

I'm very sorry for the families and their loss. I can only imagine the heartache they have endured during this time. I am very proud that they are standing up against this injustice and doing everything in their power to make things right for their loved ones. As a future forensic scientist (Senior year for my bachelors degree) I hope i can one day help make a difference for the families and their loved ones by bringing them the justice they so much deserve. It's only right. Thou Shall Not Get Away With It.

Thank you so much for this page and the information within it. I am hoping for justice for my best friend, Emily Dodson, who was ruled a suicide, though her death was extremely suspicious. Her case was supposed to be reopened recently but it seems they changed their minds. If you google Emily Dodson suicide, you can see a recent news video about her case. Thanks again.

I've watched and waited for years to see this case come to an end with those who took her life and those that lied for them to meet justice. 11-1-11. We're behind you Chanda Turner.

The 11th anniversary of Chanda's death was a sad day for me. I wonder if those involved in her death remembered what that did on that day? Do they remember how they took away a daughter, a sister, a niece, and a friend? How they wiped out a lovely young woman, who had the wittiest since of humor and a pure heart. How they voided this world of a friend that would stand against unsurmountable odds to protect you, even until her death.... 11-1-11 this will be a date for them to remember

Mighty proud that some in Garvin County don't want to live this way any longer. I'm looking forward to 11-1-11! I figure they've gotten away with it long enough.

Been following since I saw Kelly Ogle's story on 9. Had no idea there was this much involved. Some can say what they will, your actions are speaking loudly and clearly.

I appreciate what you all are doing for Mr. Tom Horton (and others). I have watched, waited, hoped and supported. Anyone with any real sense, real conscience or real backbone knows what happned and what must be done. Don't give one inch. Don't let them get away with this.

I feel for all of these families. My father died and it was ruled a suicide even though he called me two days prior afraid for his life. I know all about corruption and you have my back.

I had not paid attention to the Tom Horton case since I signed the petition. I wish I had. So sad.

I'm so happy that the Chanda Law Bill passed a third committee! Please give all my best to the families for which this law was written.
